Chris Bourdon

Chief Executive Officer, Chairman

Mr. Bourdon has a track record of successfully developing and commercializing technologies and leading companies at the highest executive level. Most recently as CEO of Upthere, a personal storage company, Mr. Bourdon led a team of highly talented engineers in building a new way for consumers to keep and access their digital things before negotiating the sale of the company to Western Digital, the world’s largest computer storage provider. 

Previously, during his 15-year tenure at Apple, Mr. Bourdon managed a team of product marketing managers, shipping nine releases of macOS and growing the user base from zero to 64 million. Mr. Bourdon is also active in the startup community advising a number of early-stage companies and serving as a selection committee member and mentor at the Alchemist Accelerator.

Robert Bench, CPA

Chief Financial Officer, Interim President

Mr. Bench has served as our Chief Financial Officer since October 2008, and served as the Company's President from 2008 until 2017. Mr. Bench also served as a member of our board of directors from December 2007 through November 2014. Mr. Bench was a founder and since April 1999 has been a managing member of BayHill Group LC, a consulting group focused on assisting microcap companies ("BayHill Group"). From January 2005 until April 2007, he also served as the Chief Financial Officer of Innuity, Inc. (INNU), software as a service company that delivers applications for small business. From November 2000 until August 2004, he also served as Chief Financial Officer of The SCO Group (SCOX), a developer and marketer of software applications and operating systems. Mr. Bench is a certified public accountant and holds a bachelor degree in accounting from Utah State University.

Dr. Doug Mancosky

Interim Chief Technology Officer

Dr. Mancosky has 18 years of experience in commercialization of new technology across multiple industries. He is author of five United States patents with two related to the NBGV cannabis water extraction technology. He also led the successful commercialization of hop extraction technology (highly similar to hemp) now used in breweries across the world.

Dr. Mancosky holds a Ph.D. in chemical engineering pulp and paper from the Georgia Institute of Technology, a master's degree in pulp and paper science and engineering from the Georgia Institute of Technology and a bachelor's of science degree in chemistry from St. Norbert College.

Eric Anderson, PhD

Chief Strategy Officer

Dr. Anderson has extensive experience in the cannabis and hemp industries having worked on business planning and licensing for several growth and venture companies in the industry.  

Dr. Anderson is Founder of Anderson Growth Analytics and is an executive, business consultant and engineer with 35 years of experience in business development, business and financial consulting, and engineering.  He has worked for over 20 years shaping enterprise strategies of Fortune 1000 and emerging growth companies in a broad range of industries.  His expertise includes strategic analysis and long term strategy planning, business and financial analysis, business development, financing and implementation management. Dr. Anderson has a PhD in Electrical Engineering from the University of Southern California and was a Hughes Doctoral Fellow. 

Ellen Gee

SVP, Director

Ms. Gee has over 20 years of experience in corporate finance, management and real estate acquisition. Ms. Gee currently is co-founder and manager of several cannabis operations in Oakland, California. Her cannabis experience ranges from zoning and code regulations to licensing and permits. She also performs budgeting and forecasting functions, as well as property analysis, for all Oakland cannabis operations. From 2004 to 2006, Ms. Gee served as special aide to Mayor Jerry Brown of Oakland, current governor of California. Prior to that, she was founder and President of Incentive Plus International Travel. She also served as Chairman of the Board. During her professional career, she served as financial advisor to Hill Glazier Architects and EF Education in Sweden. Ms. Gee attended San Francisco State University where she received a Bachelor of Science in Finance. Ms. Gee also received a Master of Science in Taxation at Golden Gate University in San Francisco.

Jesse Magallanes, MBA

Mr. Magallanes has over 10 years of achieving manufacturing and operational excellence across multiple industries and functions. He has served as a trusted advisor to Fortune 500 companies on strategic decisions as a management consultant and drove operations for a manufacturing company. Mr. Magallanes holds a bachelor's of science degree in mechanical engineering from the University of California, San Diego and a masters degree in business administration from the University of Southern California.
